01 Design Simplicity
This algorithm works on just about any consumer refrigerator and doesn't need to know any specifics about compressor efficiency, thermal efficiency, environmental factors, freezer mass or consumer usage. It learns as it goes!
02 Global Warming
When fully implemented in California we can reduce CO2 emissions by 8,500 metric tons each day by utilizing renewable energy instead of gas generating plants. This is the equivalent of 690,000 cars driven for a year!
03 Renewable Ready
Out technology reduces peak load when solar stops producing at dusk and provides a load for curtailed night wind and daytime solar generation. It's predictable and reliable load shifting every day of the year makes it easy to schedule.

History
What started as a nascent idea several years ago is now funded by a CalSEED grant through the California Energy Commission.

Our overarching management principle is to keep costs low in everything we do for all Californians, regardless of location or income level.
